Help save the Orang-utans

Adele Gilbert, wife of Rotarian Andrew Gilbert, spent 2 months at the start of 2007 working as a volunteer at the Sepilok Rehabilitation centre for orphaned Orang-utans on the Malaysian island of Borneo. She gave a talk on the plight of these fascinating animals to a large audience of Rotarians and wives/partners from both Warrington and Bridgewater Rotary Clubs. At the conclusion of her talk Adele gave an impassioned plea for action to help stop the relentless destruction of the Borneo forests for unsustainable logging and Palm oil plantations. She advocated  actions in several areas
