Club Leadership Plan
The objective of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise, in particular to encourage and foster:
First: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
Second: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian occupation as an opportunity to serve society
Third: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarians personal business and community life;
Fourth: The advancement of international understanding, good will and peace through a world fellowship of businessman professional, persons untied in the ideal of service.
The club leadership Plan Goal is:
To create an effective Club that pursues the object of Rotary carrying our activities along each avenue of service.
Effective clubs are able to:
- Sustain and increase membership
- Implement successful service projects
- Support the Rotary Foundation
- Develop leaders beyond the club level.
In order to achieve this we intend to follow the Rotary four avenues. These are therefore the main objectives of this club for this year.
We Aim to:
- Provide for the continuity in leadership, including the concept of succession planning, to ensure development in our future leaders.
- Provide opportunities to increase fellowship among club members
- Ensure that every member is active in a club project or function
- Personal development and comprehensive training plan.
Club Committees
Our Leadership plan will include the development of our club committees to our better advantage and arrange for succession planning to involve all of our members encouraging their individual training and development. The leadership plan will be implemented in consultation with District Leaders. This plan will be reviewed annually.
Administration
We will conduct all the Clubs’ administration activities to the best of our ability.
We will develop a comprehensive training plan to ensure that club leaders attend District training meetings.
That orientation provided consistently and regularly, that ongoing educational opportunities are available for current members
Attempt to apply training to develop future leaders in our club and ensuring that current club officers are well informed about Rotary and are capable of leading he club, and providing better Rotary service.
We will seek the assistance of the District Governor to help as a plan is reviewed and implemented.
Membership
We will develop and implement plans for recruiting and retaining membership. We will adopt measures to help to retain our current members and bring in younger members to help sustain our membership
Club Public Relations
We will develop and execute a plan to effectively provide the public with information about Rotary. In this endeavour we will always have a public relations team, fit for purpose who will make the general public aware and reflect on the good work we do and encourage charity from the community.
We will actively promote the Club’s service projects and activities to raise e the level of awareness of the public and how they can help us to help others.
Service Projects
Service above self is the principal of Rotary motto. We will plan and carry out educational, humanitarian, and vocational projects that address the needs of the Clubs community and communities in other countries. Our major fund raising event will continue this year to provide for our local charities and we will also endeavour to raise funding for international charity.
The Rotary Foundation
We will develop and carry out plans to support The Rotary Foundation, through financial contributions, and club participation in the Foundation programmes
