Beer Festival Sponsorship
The Rotary Club of Warrington is now arranging its thirteenth annual Beer Festival, to be held from 29th to 31st October 2009 at the Parr Hall, Palmyra Square, Warrington.
All the profits go to charities and the running total raised to date is close to £125,000! We need businesses to sponsor the event by contributing towards the considerable cost of hire of the Hall, publicity, brochures, glasses, helpers T-shirts, purchase of the casks of beer, cider, bottled beers, entertainment during the Festival and so on.
If you (or your company) would like to be a sponsor, please complete the Beer Festival Sponsorship on-line form
We ask for £80 from each sponsor. This covers the approximate cost of a barrel of beer. Each year we have around 70 barrels, representing over 65 different beers, and we anticipate needing a similar number of barrels for 2009.In return for sponsorship, we invite the sponsor plus a guest, to join us on Thursday afternoon before opening to the public, to meet representatives of our chosen charities, and sample as many of the beers as they wish, before we start charging at 5.30pm. We also provide 10 complimentary entry tickets for use by sponsors, their colleagues or friends, so they only need to buy beer tokens.
The name of each sponsor is shown in our brochure, and any advertising material that sponsors want to put in the Parr Hall will be accommodated (within reasonable limits). In addition, the name of each sponsor will be shown on the front of a barrel of beer or cider, or alongside the speciality bottled beer bar. We can also add a link to your website from our beer festival pages. If you have a particular beer that you would like to sponsor, subject to sufficient notice and availability, we will use our best endeavours to get a barrel, and add your name to that beer. However, we cannot accommodate lagers, because of the extra equipment and space needed for each keg in the form of gas canisters and coolers.
We can offer sponsorship to many companies, and if you know of another individual or organisation that may wish to help with this large charity event please contact the club via email or post.
In 2009, our charities will include the local charities: Sunshine and Rainbow Assessment Nursery, Active Hope, Life Education, Canal Boat Adventure Project, St. Joseph's Family Centre, and international: Agape Children’s Orphanage in South Africa, Raising the Roof For Ghana - Building a Village Resource Centre, Sarnelli House for HIV/AIDS children in Thailand. If you are able to sponsor the event, please send a cheque for £80 made out to “Rotary Club of Warrington” with your contact details for the brochure and website, to Rotary Club of Warrington, c/o 4 Chalfont Close, Appleton, Warrington, WA4 5JT and you will be sent a receipt and/or invoice for your accounts.
