Active Hope
Warrington based charity which is committed to giving children and young people from all circumstances and backgrounds access to fantastic Outdoor and Adventurous Activities provided by a dedicated team of Christian instructors and volunteers. Many of those catered for are often those who have been excluded and are socially disadvantaged. Although they are Christian based the project is open to and caters for all backgrounds.
Active Hope is a Christian charity based in Warrington, we are committed to providing quality Outdoor and Adventurous Activities from well qualified and enthusiastic instructors to children and young people from across the area.
Active Hope is non-profit making organisation, all the money received goes straight back into the work of the charity. We are supported by individuals and some larger Charitable trusts.
We work with children and young people from all circumstances and backgrounds offering them new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We do have a particular heart for children and young people on the fringe of society, the fringe of education, the fringe of their families. We provide a range of services and projects across the town. These include providing holiday adventure opportunities for children from difficult backgrounds, mentoring support for boys in High School on the brink of exclusion and we support boys with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties in one of Warrington's special schools. Active Hope also provides a variety of activities and projects for schools within the inner wards which otherwise would be inaccessible due to funding.
As our tag line (Life - Faith - Adventure) suggests we want children to have new experiences in life, to encourage them to look at faith and to embrace adventure in all its forms. We believe that Outdoor and Adventurous Activities offer children and young people the opportunities to experience challenge, to develop valuable life skills and gain a fantastic sense of achievement.
